In this podcast I share my tips on how to keep showing up even when you think no-one is listening:

• Focus on being internally motivated, not externally. 
• Cultivate self-belief – what you have to offer is valuable. Spend time looking and focusing on the people that do say you’re good and helpful. Not on all the people that aren’t (listen to episode 09 about how to get your audience more engaged for more on this)
• Trust that people are listening and watching, even if they don’t engage. 
• Understand you’re not perfect and that’s okay. I mentioned Elizabeth Day’s interview with Alain de Botton on the How To Fail podcast. If you want to dive more into the idea of being authentic and finding your own voice, have a listen to episode 017 with business mentor Ruth Poundwhite.
• Stop obsessing about your metrics and reach. Focus on the quality of your content instead. 
• It takes time – it takes 10 years to become an overnight success.  You need to show up if you want the same back. Understand that it takes work and commitment. Listen to episode 015 with Jodie Brandman for more talk about the compound effect.
• Put the blinkers on and ‘stick to the knitting.’ Just do you, stop comparing yourself to others.
