Wowzers , can you believe we’re heading into the final 3 months of 2023?! Where does the time go?

I know this sort of impending date brings up a lot for people: I’ve been discussing with many clients over the last couple of weeks expectations of where they thought they’d be, how much they thought they’d have made and what back in January they thought this point in the year might have looked.

It’s that balance of being clear and intentional about working towards your goals, and simultaneously letting go of what happens.

Wherever you are right now on the eve of Q4, you’re amazing, and worthy and deserving. And you’re learning everything you need to know to take you to where you want to get to. I promise.

If getting your content game in check finally for these last few months of the year is on your agenda I’ve picked out a few of the highlights from my Health & Wellness Awareness Days calendar which you can download yourself for loads more ideas.

Read on to discover how awareness days and awareness months could boost your business profile and help you to get a head start on planning your marketing in 2023.

How to use the Health & Wellness Awareness Days Calendar 2023

The health and wellness awareness days calendar lists over 200 awareness days, as well as listing health-related awareness months giving you a comprehensive downloadable calendar of key dates throughout the year, that are relevant for health and wellness-based businesses and practitioners. There are a few fun dates thrown in along the way, World Laughter Day anyone!? 😋

So, how to get started:

1. Download your FREE Health & Wellness Awareness Days Calendar 2023

2. Choose 1-2 awareness days

  • Choose 1-2 health awareness days from each month that are most relevant to your business and your ideal clients and factor them into your content plan and promotions. Please don’t feel like you have to use every single awareness day!

3. Check the date/s

  • Do a quick check of the date/s before you post just to make sure the date hasn’t changed or moved. As much as we regularly check and update the calendar, it’s always good to double-check as some dates are not confirmed so early in advance or can shift by a few days or a week.

4. Use #hashtags and resources

  • Make use of the relevant hashtags and resources where possible. Many of the awareness days have whole campaigns behind them, so this is an ideal way to join in the conversation and engage with your audience on topics that matter to them.

5. Tap into #journorequests

  • Check #journorequest on Twitter for the chance to be quoted in the press as journalists are often looking for comments from practitioners and experts around awareness day topics. Not sure how to promote your wellness business? Check out my blog post: How to do PR for your wellness business

October 2023 Health Awareness Days

  • 🥂 Stoptober runs throughout the month; with the aim to help smokers quit for good. You’ll find plenty of resources here. Similarly, it’s ‘Sober October‘, hosted annually by Macmillan Cancer Support.   I bet you have plenty of thoughts, ideas and stories to share about the role smoking and drinking plays in health.
  • 💆World Mental Health Day falls on October 10th, a day that can be promoted by almost every Health and Wellbeing practitioner out there, including you!
  • 🤸 October 23rd – 27th is  Body Acceptance Week  so that’s a great one to focus in on to help your audience think about or build some body-acceptance habits or to position yourself as an expert if you incorporate body confidence into your work. Get planning content now, or maybe a lovely collaboration or series with a fellow like-minded practitioner?
  • 🎃 Finally – I couldn’t get through an October awareness day round-up without reminding you that the 31st is Halloween. No doubt there will be all sorts of reels going viral; how will you incorporate the holiday into your content? *Cue pumpkin-spiced everything*!

November 2023 Health Awareness Days

  • 🥗 We kick off with World Vegan Day which happens on the 1st November! Have you got a recipe to share with your followers or awareness content you could post around the benefits of going plant based (or maybe you have strong opinions the other way!)?
  • 💆In the UK, the 13th – 19th November is Self Care Week, an annual national awareness week that focuses on embedding support for self care across communities, families and generations. The theme for 2023 is ‘Mind & Body’ and you can find out more here
  • 👩‍💻 The 19th November is Women’s Entrepreneurship Day – not strictly a ‘health and wellness’ day, but why not use it as a great excuse to celebrate yourself or some other amazing female entrepreneurs who inspire you? This is a great way to collaborate or give a shout out (and hopefully receive some too, boosting your audience!)

December 2023 Health Awareness Days

  • 💩 It’s Constipation Awareness Month – one for anyone who focuses or includes gut health as part of their niche.
  • ♿︎ International Day of Persons with Disabilities happens on December 3rd and is an international observance promoted by the United Nations. Could you use this as an opportunity to review inclusivity in your business, perhaps – or celebrate someone with disabilities in your life and work?
  • 😡 1-7th December is Anger Awareness Week which is something I think a lot of you could touch on in your content with tips, advice and resources for people who feel hot-headed at this time of year
  • 🎅 Finally – Christmas needs no reminder, does it?! In the run up to the 25th, how could you spread some love, joy – and maybe awareness – through your feed? Recipes, self care tips, reminders to take time out and stress management – all have their place during the festive season!

Want them in calendar format so you can add to them? I’ve made exactly that for you here to download for free.

Including over 200 key health awareness dates that are relevant to personal trainers, health coaches, nutritionists, yoga teachers and wellness professionals to keep you relevant and on-trend, and never without a topic to talk about in your social media posts, newsletters and podcasts.
